    It probably would be best for him to transfer to the Summit League or MVC and go play. He is talented but he is another scoring guard and Iowa State already has a log jam of them and based on the recruits coming in that won't change. I do suspect Sledge will leave the program at some point...

    I don't think it is an issue of talent and getting better with Tavon. The issue we have is a log jam of scoring guards. And based on who we are signing the log jam continues. I'm very happy we got talent now, but one has to wonder where the Stevie Johnsons, Shawn Bankheads, Klay Edwards, etc...

    Stop what? I'm happy for Iowa State and am glad we have Hoiberg and that he is getting talent. I also understand that there is only one ball and it is important to have a variety of skill sets. I'm excited about long... some say he's a 1 some say more of a combo.

    He's a playmaker first not a scoring minded guard which has to count for something. Right now we don't have any true PGs on the roster. I liked Tavon over the summer but he too is a guy that up til now just knows how to look to score. I'm afraid ISU is just trying to recruit the highest rated...

    Royce is about 6'7/270 even undersized with length for the NBA PF but certainly great for ISU. I like Booker at the 5 with Royce. The issue IMO is a lack of glue guys and role players. Plenty of guys that want to score the ball though. I'm excited to have talent on the team again. Certainly...

    He did get a DUI, so yes to my knowledge he did get in trouble once. Wagemester has had good things to say about him though. Maybe I'm missing some other off the court issues, but to be a thug I'd think you'd need to be a repeat offender. Character issues maybe... but on the court or locker...
