Dean Carlson was a good QB, George was actually better, but at that time, they didn't really have a "go to" RB. So Majors did what Campbell does - get your best players on the field. So in '71, that meant two QB's in the back field.
I'm truly sorry to rain on the parade. And nothing would please me more if I end up eating crow, but I think many on here are overly optimistic.
I think people are giving to much credit to Dekkers and will end up being disappointed in his performances. And watching a defense give up first...

George Amundson has been mentioned a few times, don't forget that as a junior he was the starting RB. The starting QB was another good one - Dean Carlson.
