What Happened to Bobo at the ISF?

As an aside, interesting to see so many familiar "names" out here after probably not being on the forum for at least a couple yrs or more. :)

What Happened to Bobo at the ISF?

I was always surprised that he was there as long as he was (actually he said it was either him or the owner that were the only two that ever "played" Bobo) , but have to admit, it was a guilty pleasure watching the whole scene...and would make it a point to at least check it out for a few...

    I'm honored ....I think?

What Happened to Bobo at the ISF?

LOL! The infatuation some have on this forum to tie me to him is beyond interesting. But since you asked. Dude has a daily TV show on Blaze (Glenn Beck's streaming service), has written a few books that have sold well and one of the books, was recently turned into a movie that played in...

What Happened to Bobo at the ISF?

He is in town for a friend's bachelor party. He was hunting down a wig for his outfit for the party tonight. That is an entirely separate story. His truck broke down and it was at Charles Gabus getting repaired so he was without a vehicle to get around. He was trying to take the bus which is...

What Happened to Bobo at the ISF?

It made for an interesting afternoon. As you might imagine, the guy is a talker. A few quick hits: * my wife thought I was a fool driving this guy around. I told her he came to my truck showing a $20 bill and he was old and wobbling around. Unless he was brandishing a gun, I had zero...

What Happened to Bobo at the ISF?

** Warning: old thread revival! ** (I'm never on the forum anymore, but googled "BoBo the clown" and this was one of the first hits.) I was at Casey's on Merle Hay and an older guy comes up to me as I'm getting out of my truck and asked if I wanted to make $20. Since nothing normally good...

    Breweries to survive coronavirus?

I will add that I never understand when a new business....especially one that can benefit from foot traffic of nearby other established entities, doesn't invest and install decent signage. Relying on "1717 Brewery" on modest sized window lettering just on your door seems like you're not...

    Breweries to survive coronavirus?

Mistress makes sense. No one seems to love their beer and as pointed out, they are probably in high rent spot. Why 1717?

    .

Agreed. Yeah….staying in the market but also at the same time buying more when it dips is hardly what most experts warn about when they caution against trying to “time the market”. I haven’t read the entire thread. Are people really suggesting otherwise???

    .

Yes….as a normal practice but down markets are a unique time that might suggest you may want to be more aggressive in your investing than your usual dollar cost average routine.

Full Court (Im)Press: Restaurant Group Crushing It in Tough Times

Only speaking from what I've heard Bruno say in the past, they are really not fans of suburbia. They aren't motivated by easy money so they have to be passionate about the location. They feel like they are making a difference in an urban area. Hard to have that same feeling leasing an open spot...

Full Court (Im)Press: Restaurant Group Crushing It in Tough Times

Thanks for your rundown on FCP. That was very interesting. That said, this revelation is jaw dropping to me. I do like craft beers, but I"m also not a beer snob and will drink BL IF there are no other choices. It blows my mind that people would be so conservative and unadventurous that...

Full Court (Im)Press: Restaurant Group Crushing It in Tough Times

on a tangent - one group not "crushing it" is Granite City Brewery. It appears their Clive location is now closed. (a bit odd as Famous Dave's just bought this small chain). Used to be quite the hopping spot not that many yrs back.

    2019 Taxes

But that isn't an issue any of us are going to solve before April 15th, so the issue really is -- what method makes the most sense for a person to get their taxes prepared given we have the complicated tax code we have today? I think it is pretty clear, there is no one right answer for all...
