    Smoking Meat Questions and Discussion

No pictures unfortunately, but we had an open Sunday afternoon at home yesterday and weather was outstanding, so I smoked some boneless pork chops for supper. My locker cut them nice and thick, so they took about 2.5 hours. This is one of my favorite, and I think most underrated things to...

    Smoking Meat Questions and Discussion

3-2-1 is frankly the best, base-level method to start out with for planning your cook timeframe. From there (as shown in this thread) everyone can adjust as needed based upon their preference, experience, and setup/cooking style. I like smoking for 2-3hrs on the first leg because with a pellet...

    auto mechanic and service center

An example of why I go to a private shop. I took my vehicle in for a brake job. I go to pick it up when complete and he said he found that one of my caliper pistons had seized up. I had no idea, it must have been slightly working. He said he greased the crap out of it and worked on it for...

    auto mechanic and service center

Seriously, with a vehicle of that age and mileage, find a shop with an independent mechanic within your driving radius. Might be in a small town. Probably uses NAPA parts and sells Interstate batteries (buy those too). You will probably still look at a week out to book a slot, but you'll...

    Please, not #9!

It's only for the walk out of the tunnel to the bench. Then he flings it off with a double arm flex, and the game is ON

I've done pork belly burnt ends before, loved them. Restaurant in Cedar Falls has them all the time and they are to die for, I'm always getting them. Chuck roast burnt ends are also a really great option.

Nice! I'm literally planning to do these exact things on Sunday. Never done them before so looking forward to it. We're also doing a homemade pizza for the game and I'm going to look into doing it on the pellet grill.

    Missing lake returns

El Rancho Cafe. Pretty solid. I enjoy going to hit up the taco truck at Five Points when I'm there. Authentic Mexican food in the back of the Riverdale Liquor store... hope you can at least understand a little Spanish!

Are Free Throws really that hard to make?

This reminds me how many times I used to scream at Loren Meyer JUST DUNK THE BALL as he was the absolute king of missing 1-foot bunny shots.

    Tax Software

I used to use TurboTax but switched to H&R Block software several years ago and I'm much happier with it. Crazy easy to use.

I dunno about trimming fat off a pork belly, unless you get a cap that's super thick or something. The rendered fat with some dark glaze bark is frankly BBQ gold. Meat candy. Don't be afraid to hit it with high heat at the end to up the bark -- or even throw the final product in a pan and fry...

What do you like to use this on? My wife makes fun of me for my incredible catalog of different seasonings. I have to use restraint whenever I walk down that aisle. She banished all my stuff out of the spot for regular kitchen spices.

    Worst Movies Ever

That's what I love about it and enjoy the absolute comedy of it. It's as over-the-top as any of the movies in this thread that complain about that same characteristic. I think it's outright silly and I love that they take themselves seriously.

Probably the best summary of the movie!
