*****The Super, Mega, Huge Big 12 Expansion Thread*****

Nebraska's success wasn't as reliant upon partial qualifiers as you make it out to be. Nebraska's desire for partial qualifiers was due to the fact that there are no JUCOs in Nebraska (as opposed to places like Texas and Kansas that are full of them). The JUCO transfers and the Prop 48 kids...

    Husker Fans are Delusional

I am going to miss playing ISU. I always loved going to Ames for games. It was an easy trip to make, one of the best setups for tailgating I've seen and the town itself was fun pre and post game. The fact that the last couple of games were close and exciting made the trip even better. Was...

aTm found their stir stick again this summer

I'm not blaming Texas for driving us out, things were just very, very unstable at that point in time last June and an opportunity was there for the taking. The financial aspect of it is nice, but the stability was much more the driving factor than the money was. I'm not ripping anyone else...

aTm found their stir stick again this summer

So 20 of your friends constitutes the official stance of "Nebraska claimed it was better than Texas"? And actually Nebraska wasn't the first one to leave, Colorado was. And Missouri very openly wanted out before that. And there were reports all around that the entire Big 12 South was out the...

aTm found their stir stick again this summer

ISU had/has no choice but to go along with whatever the road the Big 12 travels down. Unless someone like the Big East decides they want to snatch up several Big 12 schools for their own expansion.

aTm found their stir stick again this summer

Nebraska never claimed to be better than UT. Nebraska did what was best for Nebraska when it looked like the Big 12 was dead. Missouri openly wanted out, Texas and the entire South Division was apparently headed west. What do you mean by UNL and A&M never tried to improve the conference...

ISU vs. Texas game on Longhorn Network?

The conspiracy theorist in me says Texas tries one conference game per year in a different market within the Big 12 to try to get out-of-state markets to pick up their network. Isn't Longhorn Network Tier III? If it is, do they have to share any of that revenue if the ISU (or any other...

Big 12 to announce new TV deal today?

It's not a bad thing at all. It will be very few games on FCS, and that is still a better spot to be in than pay-per-view or no television options at all.

Big 12 to announce new TV deal today?

Some will be. FCS was mentioned in the press release from the Big 12.

Big 12 to announce new TV deal today?

The way I read the press release FCS will be utilized to televise some of the games. Fox also has a deal or upcoming deal with the Pac-12 don't they? If they do, they can't put all the Big 12 and Pac-12 games on the prominent Fox networks. Some of them will have to go to FCS.
