1.) Beat UNI and Drake every year. Teams over which we have every advantage possible.
2.) Do not, under any circumstance, lose to a cupcake team like SDSU at home! If you're going to schedule a weak non-conference schedule, then take care of business and don't let it backfire.
3.) Be competitive with Iowa...consistently winning at home and losing on the road is acceptable to me. Of course, i wouldn't complain about absolute domination :smile:
4.) Finish .500 in the Big 12. With teams like Nebraska, Baylor, Colorado, Texas Tech, K-State in the conference we should be able to reach 8 wins. It comes down to beating the teams we should, splitting some games with teams of similar caliber, and pulling off at least 1 upset.
We do these things and we'll likely end up in the tournament due to the strength and legitimacy of our conference.
These are extremely reasonable expectations in my opinion. If we do this consistently it will keep our fans engaged and should keep us competitive with recruiting. If we find ourselves in a position where this seems like pie-in-the-sky, we're in deep trouble.
