If you actually really read when I'm getting at, I'm not really trying to bash you guys. I am more bashing those who put 100% stock into what you're saying without seeing for themselves.
It cracks me up when you say that my knowledge of the game is very shallow. I watch probably 2 or 3 college basketball games per week sprinkled in with some NBA games. I come from Minneapolis where Hopkins/Minnetonka games not only sell out but have scalpers. The problem is that too many of you are watching high school basketball in Iowa which is historically pretty poor in producing Division I BCS talent. I actually had friends and classmates who were going to Marquee programs, so I've seen some of the recruiting and such.
You can say what you want about me having shallow knowledge for the game. I bet I watch more so than most on this board. The truth is that I can evaluate players without being emotionally caught up in it as a fan. Which is why I tick off so many of you probably. If I think a player isn't going to be good, I am not rooting against them, or hoping they aren't good. I'm just telling it how it is.
I would like to know how you come off as thinking you're basketball knowledge is so superior to mine when I can find post after post after post with you being dead wrong about things.
In the end, everyone is wrong from time to time and I am as well. Different from you, however, I don't advertise myself as an insider. People aren't coming for me on the "inside" scoop. If they did, I would have a responsibilty for either a) doing a better job OR b) saying that I don't know as much as people want to try to give me credit for. You do neither.
I know people like your posts and all of that and I am just trying to caution them by taking what you say with a grain of salt, since it's been so long since you've been correct about a recruit.
You are awesome!!
Two gold stars for you. I one day, aspire to reach the level of awesomeness you are on.
