Well, our incoming walk-on for next year (Alex Dorr) just put up 23 points and 9 boards in a win over Iowa's incoming scholarship player (Eric May). May had 16 points and 6 boards, and took 20 shots! Norwalk won 56-41 and will advance to the state semi's.

Way to go Alex!

Being from Dubuque...nothing in the world makes me more happy than to hear that Wahlert lost!

Dorr is a dang good get as a walk-on in my opinion. Had he been here this year, he most likely would have seen some minutes.

agreed!

i dont think he will ever be great, but i can see him being a pretty decent contributer inside off the bench down the road for us!

Cue smart-assed remark from SouthernHawk.....

Smart-assed comment? So, ISU fans are allowed to pimp every recruit that walks through the door, but if an Iowa fan thinks an incoming recruit is going to be solid, it's smart-assed? Gotcha.

For the record, I'm actually pretty excited to see May in an Iowa uniform. For most of the year, he's been ripping apart the competition, and should be a solid contributor next year.

I, and I am sure others, are glad you understand the rules here.

It is a strange sort of standard:wideeyed:

Well Mac has had a few of those as well.

True Mann is one of them I was high on him coming in. In high school he took a player that was going to TT to the woodshed twice last year and then he match and out perfromed Relaford who went to KU three times last year. I think Dorr will be a very good walk-on and I am glad that he is coming to ISU.

I just appreciate that you show up on que with the requisite opinion to balance out things here.

Dorr is a good player. He can contribute when needed. He won't be a starter but probably his junior year he will be an 8th man or 9th man. He actually kind of plays like Clinton Mann from what I have seen from him. Maybe more athletic and not as strong as Clinton. The big difference is the walk on vs. Scholly.
