Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

I love that our players don't let foul calls rattle them and act like a bunch whiny ******* like the hawks.
Low key one of my favorite things about the program TJ is running. And one of my favorite things to poke at the fighting Frans and Blooters for

Hok fans have to realize that this year's team was going to be a trainwreck. No Garza, Murrays, etc... what do you have left? This really is not a surprise.

No chance the Saturday game against wisc is going to be full. They will be lucky to break 7k.

For some of them, I think that it's more a reluctant confirmation that the things that have been said about Fran are true. That realization doesn't hit everyone at the same time, because plenty of their fans have been ready to move on for a while now.

Wisconsin and Illinois are direct competition for NCAA tourney seeding and Omaha placement

Illinois's not. They have two sites closer to them in Indy and Memphis. You could also make an argument for Pittsburgh too. Iowa States biggest competition is KU and WI. If Iowa State gets bumped by both of those schools it will mean that we didn't win the games we should have.

They need 5-1 and 1 or 2 in the BTT. 5 of their 6 remaining games are Quad 1. A blessing to still have a chance but more likely they'll go like 3-3 and fight to hold on to their NIT bid.

Iowa actually has the 6th most difficult remaining SOS in the country.

Hopefully they beat Wisconsin and Illinois at home to help us out.
If we need help on the Illinois and Wisconsin fronts, something has gone horribly wrong.

I just checked on something out of curiosity. Maryland is the best team Iowa has faced since they played Purdue on January 20th. Maryland is 75(!) in NET. They've had a Charmin soft schedule since Christmas and still haven't managed many wins. I still hope it doesn't get too ugly for them before the season's up. We need Fran around at least another year to degrade the program further.

You may be right on Illinois as far as site placement. Good call.

If Iowa is eliminated by the time they play Illinois I still wouldn't them giving Illinois a setback for seeding purposes.

Indy is full though, right? Purdue and Marquette should be locks there.

Lol no. We will be ahead of Wisconsin and Illinois on the initial seed list reveal but we don't have some insurmountable lead on either.

ISU will be in the 8-9 range Saturday on the seed list. Wisconsin and Illinois will be 14 or 15ish. It is helpful if either take a couple more Big 10 losses, especially Wisconsin.

Wisconsin still needs to go to purdue and faces off with Illinois. The way they are playing they aren't winning both of those.

We would have to lose 3 or more games to drop below Wisconsin.

I'd call that horribly wrong.
