I know all these facts, but when you say it (or type it out) it just sounds even more ridiculous. It's one of the very few things I've always disagreed with Pollard & ISU athletic dept on, because normally they do things right.can someone explain to me the thought process behind ISU approving trademark for their 3rd ISU beer which will compete with the 1 beer that actually does benefit our collective?
all the while refusing to sell any of the beers in their sports venues
ISU has to be the only school in the country with 5 different beers representing their school, yet none available to purchase at their sporting events
I'm pretty sure that Jamie is pro-alcohol sales, especially since he's very much for finding ways to streamline revenue. Unfortunately, his boss is very much against it, and he's not going to publicly get into a spat with her about it in front of the media.I know all these facts, but when you say it (or type it out) it just sounds even more ridiculous. We are watching alcohol sales work very well at conference competitor & rival schools all around us, yet here we are. I'd be disappointed, but understanding if it was no alcohol whatsoever. But the fact that big money donors can get alcohol in the suites, but blue collar fans in the cheap seats cannot...that will always irk me.
On the other hand, if you have a collective and beers for said collective, but no one cares that you have a team…what do you have?Related beer note
I see barntown is now brewing a beer for Drakes collective
Frustrating the bulldogs have 2 of the best breweries in Des Moines producing a beers to support their NIL

Is Ames Lager sold in the suites and club sections at The Jack? How about at Johnny’s in Hilton?
This. Someone tag his boss in this thread plzHis boss needs to buzz off, we need some funds to start piling up

So it’s bad that people buy Ames Lager and not Swarm? It’s hit or miss because people buy one and not the other. You can find it. The point is it is very hit and miss. Contrast that to Swarm which is sold almost everywhere you go.
I mean, maybe if all of his bosses have had the same opinion I guess. spot onBackpocket coming out with another beer that does nothing for We Will.
Why does ISU continue to license beer after beer, but refuses to allow sales anywhere, and confuse fans into thinking these beers actually are the NIL beers?
All these brewers want to make ISU beers but didnt want to join/help WeWill?

the isu beer market share looks like thisI am torn on this, since the AD needs to find all the support they can given our trail position in donations versus B12 and P5 programs. Not to mention, we took are taking less media money for the Four Corners schools. I assume the AD is likely getting loose with licensing in an effort to grow $. However, I understand that it can cause market saturation and confusion versus Ames Lager and We Will.
Perhaps JP could consider having a pop-up location on the East and West plazas offering just Ames Lager or all four beers. I completely understand his concerns around the game day atmosphere, as well as the significant increase in costs related to security and insurance.
So you really think that Ames Lager is just as widely distributed as Swarm? Never made the argument which beer tasted better. Ames Lager is OK. I have never tried Swarm. There are places where there are stacks of Swarm on display and no Ames Lager even slotted in the cooler. Yes...it is getting better. Thank god for HyVee(noticed on shelf in Dubuque yesterday) because if it weren't for them Ames Lager would be pretty hard to find.So it’s bad that people buy Ames Lager and not Swarm?
