***2024 NFL Season***

Hey, I’m a Pack man as well but I cam into the season expecting a lot less than we got. This was a year with rookies everywhere so just to make the playoffs was huge. To piss pound the Cowboys was orgasmic. I was absolutely rooting for Purdy knowing the Pack will only keep growing.

You were rooting for the 49ers? Then you’re not a Packers fan in my book.

No I completely agree. Everyone was only expecting a 4 or 5 win season so to make the playoffs and win a game was a total surprise.

I have an incredibly strong connection to Purdy and that won out knowing the Pack are going to have many chances with the youth they have.

It’s just football…. doesn’t really matter…. but no individual player would come before my Packers…. unless it was my son.

But if Brock is more important to you than the Packers…. so be it.

You only get so many chances in this league. Can’t assume everything stays in tact for years to come.

Personally, I think Brock’s chance at titles will be shorter than this young Pack team. With how great of a person he is and how well he represents ISU and stays humble, I have to make a one time exception and go with my man. I understand it may seem odd, but that kid has taken so much **** and has so many doubters, there isn’t a better underdog story in sports from my 41 years on Earth.

You were rooting against your own team because of where their opponents QB went to college? ******* lame dude.

I’m a Packer fan and have been since I was a toddler. I was rooting for my Packers and for Purdy to play well and the others on offense to fumble his great plays so no sane person would blame him. I felt I got the worst of all worlds. Some pretty bad calls, Purdy not looking sharp a lot of the time, and 49’ers winning again.:puke:

It's CYCLONE Fanatic dot com. Not Packer Backer dot com. Being extremely supportive of our alumni in the big-time spotlight should not surprise anyone.
Not seeing much support for Anthony Johnson, one of my favorite Cyclones ever. Given the Packers injuries in the secondary, he got some good playing time during the season. So happy he was drafted. He played out of position at ISU for most of his career because we didn’t have a better option.

Yes, unfortunately the non-high profile position players get little coverage unless they are all-pro or make themselves media aggressive. Even David Montgomery is only getting moderate attention as a starting RB on a playoff team.

And being last pick in the draft gives the Purdy story added Cinderella vibes.

I think it's hilarious you think I give a **** about Brock Purdy. I don't. I haven't since he quit playing at Iowa State. Do Wyoming fans have a Josh Allen Circle jerk board? Probably not

I'll admit I don't get it. At least to the point of rooting against your own team. I know Spencer Brown's entire family pretty well and I would never root for the Bills.

Rooting against your favorite team is ******* pathetic. I could see if Brock was a cousin or something.
Well for 1 - the Eagles are my favorite team, Packers are a very close second.

For 2 - I have personal connections to Brock, he’s not just another former player.

For 3 - I don’t think it’s fair to question if somebody is a fan of a team just because they also have allegiance to someone on an opposing team.

For 4 - I feel Brock’s window for a championship is relatively small because he gels with the stars around him more than I think he would any of their replacements.

For 5 - Loyal Sons Forever True.
