When's the last time they closed for cold? I walked in some cold ass temps Freddy to Design one time back early 2009 maybe? Probably a lot easier to flip virtual in the post covid world.

Got my fingers nipped a bit the other day out doing some owl photographs. Fingers on right hand hurt most of the evening. The fingers have been a bit sensitives since I got them frostbitten at ISU winter of 1969-70 walking back to towers (Wallace Hall) from an art class. Below zero and fingers got circulation cut off a bit with me awkwardly carrying this big art portfolio under may arm. Confirmed frostbite the next day at clinic. Been touchy ever sense if they get really cold now.

Just took the hound out to do business before bed. Have a couple snow drifts along the side of our house that are chest to shoulder high on me and ~10ft wide x ~30ft long. I'm just under 6'6".

12:12 am Saturday morning. The red lights are flashing to the east, the closest wind mill is 3/4 mile.

One of our neighbors burns crap all of the time. He was burning finished furniture this summer. Dark black smoke and chemicals in the air, I had an asthma attack from inside the house. One of our neighbors called the cops, all they did was make him douse the fire. Two days later, he was back to burning all his crap that wouldn’t fit in his tiny garbage container.

Need to go out and clear 3 and 4 foot drifts 50 feet wide just to get to the main road. Maybe by tomorrow afternoon. Tractor plugged in, but wind will just blow it back in. Traffic moving on I80; but no local traffic, still blowing enough for continued drifting. If you live in rural areas, stay home.

Same problem for me. It’s a very consistent deep drift in front of our house. Going to take me awhile

Quad Cities area got 14-15 inches of snow yesterday.
