Time for a Real Discussion About Caitlin Clark

So I guess we'll have to see if the prices on those courtside verified resale tix come down at all, those are the ones with the sky high pricetags. Right now if I wanted a seat in the section/row you mentioned it's over $800 before fees.
I don’t think we’ll have to see on anything if we use common sense here haha.

Sure, there are still some of those primo verified resale tix/seats available, right now listed at $1,300+fees. Will just keep an eye on if they sell or not, and if so, what they sell for. Should be fun.

The tickets selling in the $200-$300 ranges are people with tickets wanting to take advantage of the market and make some profit.

The tickets listed well above selling prices are people with tickets who want to, and have every intention, of attending the game, however would be willing to let someone else go for that price. They don't want to sell, but they will for enough dollars.

I have a can of Diet Coke in front of me. I plan to drink it. I don't really want to sell it. But if someone offered me $100 for it, I will. Doesn't mean cans of Diet Coke are going for $100.

Review the comments then cause people have focused 90% on the negatives. Was MJ childish? He was evicted from 11 games in his career due to double technicals. He got upset like all competitors of his level do. Was Angel Reese childish at the end of the championship game last year? Absolutely that was childish. Face it. If she was on ISU’s team this conversation wouldn’t even come up.
I’ll double down on this:

Let’s pretend for sake of argument CC was just an average big 10 women’s basketball player. But she still has the same childish behavior on the court, lashing out on a seemingly regular occurrence. Would fans view these outburst as being inappropriate? I’m guessing the answer is yes.

And if that answer is indeed “yes,” yet they view CC actions as just being “competitive,” wouldn’t that suggest the same behavior is only tolerated because of the player’s talent?

That seems to be the prerogative some Iowa fans have here anyway.

Does it sicken you when coach Campbell absolutely unloads on the refs? That happens almost every game as well.

Not as much as a player going irate at officials. Part of the coaches job is to work the officials. Sometimes a coach will go crazy at official to try to light a spark on their team.

But I don’t believe CMC has ever gone irate when his team has a healthy lead heading into the final quarter

I think it’s quite the stretch to say you welcome it.
Well you come here and say hok fans don’t do it, say ISU forums need to do better and treat your CC better etc….but yet we see the chatter on Iowa forums? I’m shocked you think this way

Good to know that Fran is just working the officials and trying to light a spark under his team

You think Fran isn’t working officials? Most coaches do. One of the best was Huggins. Huggins basically didn’t do much during a game except work the officials.

Some coaches are more animated than others. Fran takes it to a next level. And yes, I think there are times Fran, CMC, or any coach will get irate to try to light a fire in their team. Coaches usually do this earlier in the game if they feel their team is playing with little energy.

But even Fran doesn’t go bonkers when his team is up 22 with 13 minutes to play.

I also have 6 tickets but only 3 get used on a regular basis so each game the attendance is inflated by 3 seats sold. and a question I have are there that many hok fans in all these other places or do that many wbb fans go to the games when they are in town, or did someone buy up the tickets with hopes of reselling them for a big profit.
The ticket prices are inflated, but not to these levels. I have a friend with five EIU WBB season tickets - he, his daughter, her husband and their two elementary school aged sons attend. The kids can’t do the late week night games because they live an hour away and have school. I was a guest for Kansas State and there were many empty seats in our section. They’ve been selling them at $50 / seat with no problem. So people definitely want to see CC play, but the prices are greatly exaggerated! I would never pay to see an EIU sporting event that didn’t involve ISU and that includes if Nile Kinnick himself were reincarnated! Huck the Fawks!
