2023-2024 MBB computer projections thread

Totally agree, I almost mentioned that specifically in my post, but assumed it might be self-evident. And of course Houston.

I wonder how many of the other 6 newcomers will be involved. BYU and at least 1 other ex-Pac, is a wild guess

Basically, I was just noting that ISU isn't guaranteed to play. We'll see. If not, we'd really need to pick up another non-cupcake somehow.
Totally agree- good point.
I imagine it will be some sort of rotating participation intended to be “fair” to everyone. The Big East would not like all our best teams every year. Tarnish their image.
We would not like if shoe was on other foot.

He's missing a lot of manual copy and paste and the odd pdf you need to "convert" to Excel but he's closer than you'd want him to be. Probably still better than a hellscape of 30 yr old custom programs duct taped together after endless reorgs and mergers.

Starting to get a little concerned. I don't see a lot of Q1 games remaining that I feel good about. OU and BYU at home maybe?

I mean that’s the point of the Big 12. It’s so good there won’t be many games you feel great about. But there are several imo:

At BYU
At TCU
Home BYU
Home OU
At Cincinnati
Home KU

Heck even Baylor is interesting. Wish it was home but I actually don’t think they are as good as some think. I’ve watched several of their games and we can play with them.

Houston staying #1 on Torvik is funny to me. It's like the model is saying "yeah, that was supposed to happen last night"

Human polls are stupid like that.

"Team lost must drop derp."

Torvik and the other models are saying something much more accurate -- great team lost to a very good team on the road in a very close game. It speaks well of both these teams really.

Anyways, on with the show...
