5 AM seems reasonable for those that have to work early. They put headlights on those things for a reason. Clear the driveway, come back in and get showered, be ready for your day by 6:30 to 7:00. Not everyone starts their day at 8:00.
What’s the real issue here? That he moved snow early or that you didn’t?If you're going to the office, sure. If you/your wife/your kids are all staying home, absolutely a **** move to do that at 5 am. He's a VP at Wells Fargo, takes plenty of breaks throughout the day, could have done it at any time.

Why on earth would you do a pre-shovel if you have a snow blower?! I have a crappy single stage and it does fine up to 8-10", can't imagine why anyone would pre-shovel when you have one - at 3am no less!
Meanwhile, my **** of a neighbor fired up his snow blower at 5 am, then proceeded to go back inside/shut the garage/all lights off. Why TF would anyone do that..? Him and his wife WFH and school is cancelled.

The VP of Wells Fargo should have an electric snowblower. My buddy just used his for the first time and said it did an amazing job. You folks know white noise exists right? Sleep with it and you’ll be fine
