Another female teacher incident

Centerville placed two of their teachers on paid leave this past year, the one pictured above resigned around the first of the year, and the 2nd one did come back to teach, but we later forced to resign. The second teacher was not fooling around with students but was forced out for using the school email for personal use. He had agreed not to use the school's email, and then was found doing it again and resigned.
What made it difficult for the 2nd teacher was that news organizations did not clearly point out that he was not involved with a student, leaving the impression that both were.

The second teacher is fortunate social media wasn't around in the early 2000s.

Was it egregious personal use?

Like if it's the best email anyone can use to get to him for something like a family member reaching out I wouldn't think that would be a problem.

He was contacting another woman that was not his wife the first time, he agreed not to use the school's email for personal use, and then sent an email to a friend, thanking him for taking over one of his duties, working a dance I believe and then said he had been out drinking.
The school stated he had violated the agreement, and he was forced to resign.

I will add that many teachers do use their school accounts for personal use, even though we are all told it's a public record and not to do it.

And that imo should be counted as egregious. Common sense...it ain't so common.

Both music and band spend a lot of time during the day one on one with students for lessons. Really very common for them to form a very close relationship.
Coaches and music/band are the ones this type of activity occurs the most often, has been what I have seen.

So what happens if student is 18 when it happens? Obviously they get fired and should lose their license. Do they get arrested and go to jail?
