Anyone else shocked at the Will Howard to tOSU announcement? I would assume tOSU has a couple of 4 star and 5 star youngsters on the roster. Howard was a fine QB for KSU, but would not rate him tOSU worthy.
There aren't a lot of steller QB's this go around. Cam Ward would have been a better choice but he's trying for the NFL. Overall CFB is in a bit of a down dip for strong, stud QBs right now - with a lot of Freshmen or 2024 guys with high ceilings.

I was floored. I though after Leonard went to ND, that Howard to USC was a sure thing
I don't know if it was the season they had, the thought that Riley might not be there long, or what but there has been a mass exodus even on offense at USC.

Will Howard was last seen slamming his helmet on the sidelines losing to Iowa State. Good luck dealing with the expectations at Ohio State...

Its a safe signing for a program that is in the hunt for the Big 10 title and CFP nearly every season. Wasn't impressed with the QBs they played in the bowl game so at worst he comes in as the starter and if he struggles then they try out some of the inexpirienced guys.

I’ve noticed that too. Very surprising. However, Riley and CMC have always seemed like polar opposite culture wise so it should be expected I suppose

It was Riley wanting to see what Miller Moss could do. Moss balled out so Howard wasn’t as much of a priority

I imagine he will have a very short leash

Will Howard is an upgrade from McCord

Known commodity
Safety Net
High Floor
Way more Mobile.

In 2021 the QB room for OSU was
Stroud
Ewars
McCord

Big Drop off from Justin Fields /CJ Stoud.
Probably would’ve been Ewars, but he liked that NIL Texas money.

2025 as mentioned above, will be Air Noland , who is no relation to Zeb. Lol.

Tagaviloa just entered. Obviously just for the money because he’s a legend at Maryland and holds all of their, and several B1G records.
Yep, hear he's going to Miami but there's still a question about his eligibility

It’s interesting to start seeing what the threshold is for kids staying, transferring, or declaring for NFL.

Tualia is projected as a middle rounder if he declared.

He chose to transfer, stick some cash in the bank account and possibly improve his draft stock?

Edit: spellcheck Talia to Tualia

Didn't even know he still had eligibility.
He doesn’t. He’s trying to convince the NCAA that during his freshman year when he played 5 games (2 games he only played 2 snaps) it shouldn’t have burnt his redshirt. Don’t understand how the NCAA will allow it. What’s the 4 game rule there for if you’re gonna bend it for players.

Given Brock’s salary for his first two years in the NFL vs what Arch Manning reportedly banked in NIL oil $$ @ Texas for sitting on the bench all year, maybe these guys are not so stupid after all!!

Bryson Rodgers, Jayden Higgens and Jaylin Noel would be one hell of a starting 3. Beni Ngoyi would be one a hell of a #4. Add in Brahmer. Who in the Big12 could match that cast of targets?

Yes, yes, I know, we still need an improved OLine.
Maybe a few teams. I don't know.

Here we go again, on to the Big 12 championship in '24.

We do this every year. When we are expected to be pretty good, we are magically great, the best, etc. The rest of the league wants to win too and has good (maybe better?) players? Let's wait and see how it turns out. Let's wait and see if the coaches become a little more dynamic.

And you are correct, a good OL, consistently, would be nice.

That said, I'm ready for the CFP's next year.
