Yeah, that was a little tough. I hate Iowa, and I don’t like the way she acts. But tough to say the all time Big 10 assist leader is all about themselves. I don’t like her on court demeanor, but she’s a great player , and after the games , you have to appreciate the time she takes to sign autographs. She’s done a lot for the sport, and if she played for us, I’m fairly certain most of us would love her.

So do you dislike Dawn Staley?

EDIT: Here is why I ask that question. Last year Iowa fans couldn't spew enough hate out for Angel Reese or Head Coach Kim Mulkey, and yet they wonder why others hate C.C.

Personally I hope they just go out and win the National title or whatever and except for a couple of months after that all this will be done.

However, if Iowa DOESN'T win the National title, how is this going to play out. Will the commentary be C.C. did all she could to bring a national title to Iowa? If so, isn't that saying the other members of her team were no help at all?

Was on my lunch break and saw Sportscenter on one of the TVs and guess who they were interviewing? Well CC of course. Damn that Iowa media.

Yeah the meltdown after the title game and all the racist venom that came out from many Iowa fans was as gross as it gets. I'm not a fan of Reese or Mulkey, but AR wasn't out of line at all with what she did. I'll never like trash/smack talk, but if you dish it you'd better be ready to take it, and that's what CC got served up by AR in that moment and I had zero problem with it. I never bought AR's line about doing it "for all the little girls who look like me" thing, I think she did it for herself, but so be it.

I'm also not a fan of Dawn Staley. I don't like the way she goes around screaming the "R" word at basically everything, and I'll admit it's homerish but I don't like her for the obvious disdain she has for the Iowa program and publicly smearing our coach.

I don't think there's any way Iowa wins a natty, and I'm sure the commentary will be it's despite the heroic efforts of CC. The simple truth is that aside from CC Iowa is a pretty good team but not anything special, especially when compared to the recently assembled superteam at LSU and the elite blue-chippers at SC.

Apologies to everyone for my outbursts yesterday on this thread. CC is indeed a great player, one of the best women's basketball players ever, and I don't want to diminish that fact.

Was this during your watching of 10 hours of ESPN? You sure seem to watch that a lot anymore. Guess you may have a thing for CC like Murph does.

NFL football is on people’s minds WAY MORE than women’s basketball.

I’ve got a coworker in Portland who’s a basketball fan that follows her. He’s not from Iowa.
