Rumor has it that it's nice there. I've never been a huge Gulf Coast fan, but that's just me. That's all I've got. :D

Have you met CF posters? :D

Judt wait until the first TV time out on Saturday to confirm this.

ISU out to quick start: Should be a blow out!

ISU behind: What is WITH this team!

ISU wins: the conference championship is right there for the taking!

ISU loses: I sure miss when Johnny wouldn't lose games.

I had no idea until last night that Ronald Reagan lived & worked in Des Moines for a time. Found out by reading an article about the old pool that used to be at Camp Dodge.

I'm a fan of the gulf coast but you're going at a crappy time. It'll be cool but not cold given Iowa standards.

Check out some websites and look for migrating sealife.

There an AFB near there so you likely will see some C130s or other aircraft doing drills or getting flight time.

I know more about Panama City but Destin will be nicer atleast then Iowa right now.

I disagree. You can talk about what is actually happening in the incident without talking about why it is happening or what you think does or doesn't need to be done about it.

It requires self control though.
Yeah it could just be treated like a news item, maybe like a volcano erupting or earthquake.

People could also calmly and intelligently discuss the many different and difficult issues involved, and how they interrelate, in a search for truth and answers towards what might be able to be done to solve / lessen the problem.

But that never happens. It just becomes tribal grunting and then tribal screaming. I always envision chimpanzees fighting, how they start screaming at each other and jumping around.

When someone starts a new thread on CF that can be turned political

Yes, it was reopened and moved to the cave.
I assumed. That’s hidden for me. It’d be nice just to have a conversation about the facts when something of this magnitude happens without it going to hell. Some people can’t help themselves.

This morning's incident gives new attention to this thread, unfortunately.

Whoever caused that thread to go to the cave is a heartless bastard With no empathy! Rant over.
