***2023-24 Mens College Basketball Thread***

I just heard the funniest thing at the end of the B1G Show. The two guys (don't remember their names) were fussing about Houston being ranked #1 in the Net instead of Purdue. I agree with that. What was funny is that one of the guys said, that when they start Conference play this will change, as Purdue's schedule strength will improve, but Houston's "Not so much". Too Funny. I assume the "B1G Think" guys forgot that Houston is in the Big 12 now and not the AAC.

Ohio St beats WVU in OT, I started watching in the last 8 minutes, they both looked pretty good. OSU 3s was the difference from the part I saw.

That’s great. I went to my first FGCU game last week. I’ve driven past their arena dozens of times but never had been in it.

We bought tickets to see them spur of the moment. Walked in, and I bet there were less than 1000 people there. Plopped ourselves down on the second row behind the basket. Watched them win on a buzzer-beater in OT.

I suspect tonight’s atmosphere would have been a little different.

Even if ISU hasn't played anyone at least they didn't slip up in a bye game.
That would really have us wondering how good/bad we are if we dropped a "bye" game. Although after watching ISU sports 50 years it's not out of the realm of possibilities that we could accomplish that. LOL

With like FAU losing today I'd like to see a composite on if there have been a higher amount of P6 losses to those teams this year than normal.

I'm really excited for these 1st 2 games! Open with a road game vs a ranked, but very beatable (IMO) OU.
Follow that with top 3 Houston at Hilton!

Obviously not "must win" games, being just the start of a ling conference season, but we'll know a lot more about this team after these 2.

Overall men's college basketball has a ton of conference games tonight.

I'll be at Bucky/Frannie. Fingers crossed for a meltdown.

OK. The Big10 resumes conference season tonight. But this is just an opening act to the main show Saturday.
