*** Official IOWA STATE vs Memphis Liberty Bowl Game(Day) Thread ***

To the people complaining about the play call, the play would have been fine had Sama been in. It was a designed pass to Noel that was covered. Why didn’t it work? Because Arlen Harris was in. He hasn’t ran the ball all year. Every time he’s been in the game during the season, it was to pass block. I can see that from my couch. Imagine being payed to watch for this stuff. No doubt the Memphis staff saw this as well and coached their team to know this. The memphis team knew he wasn’t getting the ball which is why Noel was covered and Rocco had to run.
Except Noel was wide open.

This will turn into a blowout if we don’t run the ball and have our defense continue to play like ass.
We aren’t running the ball on them most likely. Their pass defense is one of the worst in the country. We should be able to light them up. Their rush defense is much better.

I'm guessing it won't be long for the "fire campbell" people to make their voices present, even though the game is nothing more than a glorified exhibition game.

Are you saying ISU's offense is as predictable as a bear shi^^ing in the woods?

Play calling all Memphis so far.
We need to run wide and throw vertical on this drive. Enough of this Memphis mojo.

This is just Ohio 2.0
I don’t get a good feeling about this at all.

Did t even show up today and still at the parade
This has the makings of being a lot worse than Ohio. Granted I think Memphis is a better team than Ohio. But man, getting a glimpse of what our defense might look like next year, not encouraging .

It’s early and no need to panic. But the fact that we continue to come out so damn flat and unprepared against tier-down opponents is a bad indictment on where we are and how far we still need to go. Memphis shouldn’t look like the Ravens bending us over their knee.

Too soon. JUST TOO SOON
