Could certainly be true, but big donors have more than likely been paying for recruits for a long time. It is only recently that regular joe's like myself are now involved.

Could be for sure as the timeline definitely adds up there. But his assistant of like 15 plus years took over so I can't imagine he is doing much different than Doyle did, plus the defense has improved since Doyle left.
They haven’t had good OT’s for the past 3 years. They finally gave up trying to run outside zone stretch plays because of it.
I noticed this too, those plays were what their offense was built around. Running those plays and then play action to the TE were always open for big plays.

If true, that might be the dumbest idea they could come up with. It doesn't matter if the head coach is stubborn or not, that's a disaster waiting to happen. Kirk, or any coach for that matter, definitely would not work with someone he didn't want to hire.

If that's what they want then they need to just buyout Kirk's contract and hire Kliff.

100%. If Kirk is your head coach, he gets to choose his staff. That 'plan' is asinine.

Yeah it sucks for you guys that the hawks are now subject to the whole player heath and safety standards that don't, you know . . . . .nearly kill student athletes.
That Oline just isn't the same without Rhabdo and whatever other dangerous stuff iowa was willing to subject their student athletes to. I'm sure they'll figure out a new way to cheat and abuse their atletes. Just give it time.
