49ers - Brock Purdy - Still and Always #1

Dak "meltdown" Prescott is not as good on the road. At Buffalo and at Miami are far from automatic wins for Dallas. He can lose 1 or both of those 2. If Purdy wins out he can win it. How quickly people forget Purdy played BETTER against the Eagles and they were even on the road. Where Dallas was at home. He also killed Dallas head to head. People just want to forget that? Dak is capable of his turnover games too and he will have some here down the stretch too. Especially on the road and they will likely lose.
Purdy has a bigger bias to overcome.

Chill. We said if Dak doesn't have a meltdown game, which he very well may. Trust me, most people here want Purdy to win and think he deserves it.

He will have a meltdown game. LOL. Especially on the road vs good teams. I understand what you are saying.

Watching Sportscenter this morning they had a big list of QB stats for Dak and Josh as in 2nd & 3rd for most QB stats. Then they continued with their typical Dallas Cowboy pep rally on how Dak was obviously the front runner. Never mentioned Purdy as 1st in all of those stats.
Needless to say I changed the channel.

Honest question, is this not considered a Dak meltdown game?

Sure but the QB stats are closer than they appear. You turn Dak’s three picks into three touchdown passes of 33 yards each and they’re exactly even and Dak had to go against a much stronger defense. I’d probably give the edge to Dak. -Nick Wright. Probably.

Dallas has some tough games to end the year.
Yes in which Dallas will probably lose 1 or 2. Which could drop Dallas to the 5 seed and a worse record than the 49ers. I can't see 49ers #1 seed, Dallas #5 seed, Dallas more losses on overall record, Dak losing head to head to Purdy and Dak winning MVP.

That would be just absolutely absurd. Nick WRONG (sometimes mistakenly called Wright) would like it. But it wouldn't make sense to many others.

We shall see. Brock is gonna have to win a ring before he gets taken seriously by everyone, fair or not.

Right or wrong, the quality of opponent down the stretch will have a big impact. Dallas and Dak have 3 straight big games to impress voters. Brock and the Niners only have the Ravens in 2 weeks.

That's overstated a bit. I think most are coming around to Brock at least being a good to very good NFL qb. Now it's "is he elite" and mvp worthy. Pretty much the same debate they are having about Dak.

I guess? Dak gets a lot of criticism too. He's been in the league a while though. I think he might get it just from seniority if Dallas looks good the last four games.
