actually know how many on here actually attend Iowa State basketball games. I have a feeling that many on here (and even more on the other boards) don't actually grace us with their presence at Hilton on a regular basis. It would make reading a lot of the "MCDERMOTT MUST WIN NEXT YEAR OR ELSE" and "WHY AREN'T WE PLAYING (fill in the blank) MORE?" and "MCDERMOTT NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO YELL AT THE REFS" posts a little more tolerable.

I have attended every home men's game that my student tickets allow me to. I am not one of the "haters" on this board.

This has one of those "I'm a better fan because" or "My voice holds more weight because" type of tones to it. I always enjoy these threads.

PS. We attend most games, although this year, we've missed more than any other prior season.

I've been to all the games covered under the student tix plus Houston-Baptist and I don't remember what other break game (not SDSU thank God).

Have student tickets. Hit up one extra break game. Missed one to go deer hunting. Have also missed a couple due to night class.

I'll definitely go to most of the games when I'm going to ISU in 2 years.
Sucks living 2 hours away and only going to a couple games a year, but that doesn't make me less diehard of a fan.

What is this hater phenomenon? I think many misdiagnose it, naturally. Say something that is not all flowers and bunnies? Hater! Not always the case.

I like facts (not hater), reality (not hater) and a rational debate (not hater).

I don't like wanting to fire a coach at the first sign of trouble (hater), degrading players (hater), homers and the eternal "wait 'til next year" fans.

Can't attend in person, but I've watched every minute of every game except for SDSU, because I was gone for the holidays.

At least I'm pretty sure this is the case...between Clone Zone and ESPN FC, I think I've seen nearly everything this year.

I'm a junkie...we could go 0-25 and I'd watch every minute. I'm not saying that makes me a better fan, it's just who I am.

It's pathological, I know.

Does this mean I need to get a permission slip to miss the game tomorrow? I have bowling league and I'm still looking for that elusive 600 series...

haven't attended a single game this year for the first time in a long time.

wife, newborn, work, living a couple hours away ... all adds up. However, I'd be willing to be I have a lot more "invested" in the athletic program than the average student ticket.

and I do watch or listen to every game

Season tix
Men's games: section 134
Women's games: section 111
Wrestling: section 110

Yes, I am concerned about our men's basketball program. This was a big year to see progress (even HB said so).

Sorry but its kinda hard to go to games when your 5 hours away. When I was a student, I went to every game and showed up before the gates opened.

So does that not make me a fan?

I have season tickets and have attended all but three games. I gave my tickets away for those three games and took responsibility for somebody being in those seats cheering when I was not able. I take my responsibility as a fan very seriously. I also am not a hater.

Does watching on TV make a person any less entitled to form an opinion on this horrible product being produced?

Are they giving some sort of insider information out during the games that only attending fans have access to, thus allowing their opinions to be more insightful and valid?

Just asking..........
