Good game fanatics. That was a total beatdown in every facet. I wouldn't expect this win to help your resume much come March.

The big 12 will help our resume. I think you might be right. Sometimes you can look at a team and see the talent and the team is just not playing together yet. I didn't see that with Iowa. I saw very little talent. A lot of decent roll players. Guys you normally bring in to give your starters a rest.
I ventured over to a Hawk message board for entertainment last night and there were a lot of fans asking why we had guys coming off the bench that looked way more athletic than their starters.
Also bemoaning the fact that Fran pretty much never gets guards like the ones that we have.
Agreed. Last night we just punched them in the mouth from the start and they never recovered. Getting to the paint was like running a knife through warm butter.
Well he is right. Blowing out bad teams boosts your net ranking.
Iowa will have nights they knock off some good teams.
Well it was intentional, but when you have a coach chirping at you the whole night I’m sure he wasn’t gonna get any benefit of the doubt
Iowa desperately needs someone who can get inside the defense and get them out of position. Bowen looked like he could be that, but I'm not sure he would do as well if we had focused on stopping him. You really need at least a couple options like that on the floor at any given time, or you end up just passing around the arc and then taking a contested jump shot.
I also thought Krikke would be more of a factor going in, as I have been impressed with him offensively, but the double teams seemed to bother him, and I don't think he's used to having guys his size or bigger being able to guard him wherever he goes.
Plus he had already made one egregious intentional foul earlier. The refs had explained the behavior as a foul. If you do it some more it isn't going to come as a shock when it gets called again.
I liked the one bemoaning the fact that they had four white starters and how everyone denounced him/her/them for racism.
A couple of Iowa's players are in over their heads trying to play defense against p5 competition. Harding fouled every single time on that end, all he can do is grab and hold and that still didn't help much. This could be Frans worst defensive team at Iowa
I think TJ got pissed about the full court press when he took out the starters and put Lipsey back in to keep that score where it belonged.
Iowa fans of all people should knw that the NET formula actually responds well to blowing out bad teams.

Maybe over course of year 1-2 upsets but I think they're going be about 16-15. We'll need to play a semblance of defense to even get around .500. Can you teach us?
I don't see them pulling many upsets this year. Both Purdue and Iowa State have laid the blueprint on how to attack and defend Iowa.
Funny thig about Harding is that I had just heard the other day how great of a defender he is
