And BTW; unless you're from the Deep South (and this goes for everyone, but particularly for posters with an LA as part of their handle) never, ever write "y'all". It just makes you look like a ginormous tool.

Winning a Big 12 Championship would be great! But considering Matt Campbell is the closest to do it in the modern history of Iowa State football, it seems pretty reasonable to stick with him rather than go with a new hire who is probably more likely to have a losing record over five years than he is to actually win a Big 12 Championship.
Unless you have the money in hand and a candidate in mind who can practically guarantee a championship, it seems pretty weird to run off the coach who's gotten closer than anyone else.

I really don't care about people using y'all, but if that is the way you feel about it you do realize that LA could stand for Louisiana, don't you? It doesn't get much more deep south than that...
I'm amazed at the number of people who are still complaining about the worst poster in this thread. When I do get curious what set someone off and I'm tempted to look at what he said I am reassured that I did the correct thing in ignoring him 100% of the time. And my ignore list is extremely short, countable on one hand if you are only looking at active posters.

God's gift to sports who has all of the answers and all of our coaches' problems would be over if they would just be smart enough to listen to him.

That's why I included the part about actually being from the Deep South in my post.
And if he is from Louisiana he would probably be happier being a full-time LSU fan anyway.
I can still instantly think of at least a few regular posters on here that fit this description.

Oh, I wasn't advocating for ignoring them. I rarely ignore anyone on here, and I don't mind reading differing opinions. Plus, the backlash/overreaction is often quite fun.
