Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

Best post ever on GIA. “Four white guys in the lineup, what? Is a swim meet about to break out”

Just saw a guy in a hawk shirt that said “January, February, Iowa, April, May. It is true. Iowa never sees March in basketball.

The echos from the knitting needles in the rocking crowd of 3500 at eiu are amazing.

More N Fla 8pm starts are the way to go,....gotta help get more bad tatted scrawny guys.

How the heck they give up almost 50 in a half to that team??!!

Will see how he does with more stiffer consistent competition, but that Freeman looks pretty solid for a freshman. Reminds me of a very young Garza(unfortunately for us)

Young Garza was fat. Freeman actually looks the part. Solid get for Fran. The whole FR class has looked pretty decent aside from maybe the younger Sandfort. Tonight was not their best collective showing.

Freeman can’t shoot the 3 anywhere near as well as Garza, right?

But yes, Freeman has some nice post moves for sure.

UNF scored 1 point in last 5:30 of the game so of course Iowa poured it on to make it look worse.

Anything and everything Iowa does before or after the Cyhawk game doesn't matter for Iowa.

Hopefully ISU can get it together at both ends and not let the wheels fall off if Iowa's hitting.

If it comes down to three point shooting and free throws it favors Iowa pretty soundly.

UNF had 77 points in the first 35 minutes of the game?!
Iowa's even worse defensively this year than past. Krikke gives up as many as he scores and there's no ball pressure. I normally hate the 2-3 zone but I'm not sure hoping for cold nights from opponents isn't route to go with this group. Offensively Iowa's business as usual.
