***2023-24 College Football Thread***

I thought that win against Alabama earlier this year would be more valuable than it actually is.
This is it. If Texas Beats OSU by 20-30 points and they have a road win against bama, they will over play that card all day. would have bee a great year to have an 8 team play off.

The middle to bottom of this league is really bad. I’ll take it as it allowed ISU to get to 6 wins, but man, woof.

Yeah, unfortunately this conference will begin to become irrelevant in football. Hopefully basketball will be enough to keep it afloat.

Eh, the league will be fine. It’s not like anyone outside the bluebloods ever compete for national championship’s anyway.

The sooner the top 24 bluebloods break off the better. All it would take is OSU/Michigan joining the SEC, which is closer than people think IMO

Also only a matter time before Vandy/MS State and any smaller fish in the SEC get booted out.

Both teams just waiting for the other to hand them the game. That’s how Iowa has played every game the last two years.

I have no idea how you recruit any offensive players for that?
Exactly right. The amazing thing yesterday is that Iowa tried to hand the game to Nebraska in the final minute but the Huskers immediately handed it back to the Hawks. It was incredible.

What you saw was the finest in offensive coaching by both schools.

Man just realized if 2024 big 10 title game rules were if effect this year we would had back to to back OSU Michigan games. Instead it will be a runaway beatdown.

I think Oregon would have a better win and a better loss.
Washington>Bama>OU right now.

Just my opinion. If TX blows out their B12 title opponent I could see them getting it.
Didn’t Oregon have a dog fight with Texas tech? I know it was early, but that could be used as a comparison

Yep and that's what they'll use to keep them out: a September win.

Texas had several close games too against less than great teams but that will get swept under the rug.

'Eyeball' test tells me Oregon looks like the best team outside of Georgia.
