It’s a case by case basis. Generally we’re only involved if we need to be.

Probably not something you can answer on a public forum... but when you need to be involved, does the player approach you? I'm assuming coaches can't be like, hey Blum, this kid needs a bag (lol).

Maybe you can't say but obviously other schools are actively recruiting current ISU players so i assume our collective and ISU staff must also actively "recruit" our players as well to retain them.
But how do you know what offers they are getting if they don't announce it.

I was thinking about an additional contribution (did one today) by asking for some X-mas money, then use that to donate to WeWill.
Of course I will do my X-mas donation within the next few days, as it appears to be time sensitive.

How do you even fix it? The game is threatened by all this stuff being open ended and unlimited in scope. I've yet to talk to anyone who thinks this is good. But what could you do?
Reduce scholarship roster size even more (say, 70) and limit NIL to scholarship athletes at a capped number for half the roster ($5M for 35 players) to level the playing field at a price point all P5 teams could realistically afford? And even if you could get a majority of the players to agree that something like that was in the interest of the game, how would you get the biggest brands to agree to go along? Limit CFP participation to teams in compliance?
