They came out solid tonight. This was a tough game. Texas out lasted and made big plays when they needed to.

I would play for Campbell in a heartbeat. Love what he has done for ISU and he did a masterful job to get us to a bowl this year, but some of our donor money should be spent sending him to a game day coaching clinic. I know the BINGO card thing is a joke, but really, it isn’t.

Yeah, this is where I'm at. My belief in Campbell has actually gone up significantly this season and am excited for the future of the program with him at the helm, but it is very, very upsetting watching the team look TOTALLY LOST AND BEFUDDLED any time they need to mix up the gameplan or routine in any way. We have consistently had horrendous, horrendous game management during CMC's tenure.

I do think Texas kind of backs up the number. Not like some of their teams early in the year where they’re ranked high just because.

We’ll see how they stack up in sec I guess.

They are a young team. Just remains to be seen if we are forever a young team that looses good players to teams that can pay or if we can develop them into a much better team as they get older

You HAVE to throw that up to someone and hope they make a play or get a PI. You can’t throw a 6 yard pass. We’re so poorly coached.

I think the pressure on Rocco forced him to throw the ball away from where he wanted to go. Not sure why you think that’s a coaching issue.

A copy of this game should be used for the offseason weight room to show the young pups why they need to be stronger and tougher to play at a championship level. Texas tries to punish players on every hit, block, and run. They want to prove who is bigger, stronger, and better.

I mean, it's tough to make this argument when we had similar problems during Purdy and Hall's senior seasons.

I really hope we use our extra bowl practice and off season to reset our offensive strategy. Yes we should run the ball, but we should be pass first. And if running, use motions, sweeps, wildcat, an option run. Literally any creativity would be an improvement.

Only issue........UT wasn't going to let ISU run at all. And with 5 minutes left down 2 scores with maybe 20 yards of total rushing what was ISU trying to do.........up the middle?

Not that it would matter at that point.....but to the bitter end.

Oh well. Good game against a real good team.

1. Texas is really quite good
2. Our in-game coaching, especially late in close games, is a bit sub-par.
