*** Official #22 Kansas vs IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

I feel for the defense. Even if we end up getting blown out - they kept us in this game. 7 points till mid 2nd quarter versus Kansas down a starter in the second quarter and another out for the first quarter?

If we lose, this isn't on the defense. This is the offensive game plan being more conservative than a 12th century Pope and too many penalties
Game not over yet. But I was hoping we would have come out guns blazing in this game. Especially against KU. They do it. Instead, conservo once again. Unbelievable.

Deflated exhalation here.

Line is getting absolutely abused tonight. Come on and pick this up boys.
Its hard to block when the defense might as well be in the huddle., The OL looked good for a month because we were creative, changed things up, moved the pocket, etc... we helped them.

Tonight, stationary pocket, predictable, conservative calls that lets a defense pin its ears back and attack and yeah... you're going to struggle. NFL offensive linemen struggle in those situations. And we don't have many if any NFL offensive linemen.

I need to step back and temper my expectations. This team has been playing better then I ever thought this season. This KU team is really good and should be uplifting to know that you can achieve success after terrible seasons.

Ugh. One of those games so far: crappy announcers, janky offense, B team officiating.

Turning the TV off and going to radio so I can get some popcorn shelled in the garage. If we win, you're god dam welcome.

H
B team officiating would be great.

I don't get why we run hurry up on the plays we want them to review and then slow down when we don't want them to review it. Dumb.
You can't review what was called a dead ball. The questions are, why was it called dead and when??

After nearly 4 decades of Cyclone fandom I have come to only one possible explanation. I spent a past life murdering kittens or something and this is my punishment.
