This controversial call reveals just how football stupid the average Iowa fan is. A few of my favorites

1- "That was not a fair catch signal" : literally Eickwhatever
2- "You can't review a play and go back and call a penalty. That's like reviewing a play to call holding or PI"
3- "They didn't blow the whistle! They can't review after the fact and say the play was dead."

Uhh, they didn't say it was, they didn't call a penalty, and they have literally been reviewing plays for missed dead balls for more than a decade now (knees down, out of bounds, etc).

It's been my personal experience from flag football to well yah know, D1, that if an opposing player posses the ball, and said player is running with said ball, that pursuing that said player is preferred.... over standing around.... like BF collecting a paycheck.

About an hour and a half before the game started the Jumbotron was playing a trivia game from the YouTube channel the Quiz Channel or something like that. They do this or something similar before most home games this season. The question from the video was what country was hitler born in.

Obv with everything going on it’s a bad look and I don’t know when or even if someone had looked at this specific video before it ran but it was just from a quiz channel. Still as a major public entity you should be reviewing everything youre going to have up like that even if it’s 90mins pregame from a previously vetted source.

So a tempest in a tea pot. I can't see being outraged/aggrieved about that.
