ESPN Gameday and laughing

Possibly the most annoying thing (among many) about ESPN's College Gameday is all the laughing. Have you ever just sat there and listened to how much they laugh.... and at stuff that isn't funny whatsoever. Especially Desmond Howard, my word.

They HAVE to be told to do that by the producers, etc, right? They talk about nothing that is even remotely funny, and all start laughing like crazy.

McAfee will make his score prediction on a game.... say 21-10... and Howard will just burst out laughing for no reason. He's either told to do that or he's on some serious 'happy' drugs.

I know, I know... if I don't like it, don't watch... but I do find some of the stories interesting. But I do watch a LOT less now than ever before.
Find the stories online later and stop watching completely then.

Deion takes a dump

Fox: Let's host in Boulder to analyze the dump. The texture, smell, and guess what Deion had for dinner the night before
Yep, IMO the FOX gameday show was already much better than ESPN, and then this year came and they spent the first three weeks of the season jizzing all over themselves about Deion and CU. Hopefully now they'll get the Prime fairydust shaken off and back to what they were doing.

Annoying, for sure. Part of the reason they're better is less sensationalism than ESPN

Today's show was better and a "back to the basics" morning for them.

Ultimately, they have the Bear now, so I'll keep watching

Years ago, when morning radio got away from local on-air DJS doing shows and the syndicated “Morning Zoos” started spreading everywhere, I had the same reaction to The Bob and Tom Show. That entire show is nothing but one host making a bad joke, and the rest of the hosts laughing their heads off and breathlessly adding to the joke. I mean, that’s it … one starts telling a moderately funny story, all you hear is laughing. You can’t force me to think something lame is actually funny just because you’re laughing at it.

(This is my opinion having only listened to Bob and Tom for about an hour and a half total over the past 30 years - but they were fake laughing for about 55 of those 90 minutes, so …)
Once Bob left the show it got a LOT better.

I’ll admit it. I watch the ESPN Gameday. I don’t know why but I couldn’t get into the Fox one and have tried multiple times. I never sit and watch the full the thing but have in on the garage while I’m getting stuff done on a Saturday AM. They are all boners on espn but the Fox one just doesn’t feel like Saturday AM.

ESPN gameday is nothing more than a Big 10 circle jerk.
It was this morning, but they are in Columbus for their game with Penn State. I get it's not for everyone, but damn, if you do not like it, just don't watch, it's an easy concept to understand.

This is just like those people that have to jump on Facebook and tell everyone what they are having for dinner every night. Why is it that people today think the rest of us give a crap about what they like and dislike and start a new thread about it?

it was literally 6 huge jesus signs taking up majority of my brain. **** is boring anyways. lets add religion and political signs to it
Hey man, it’s Gods will.

For the record I might have it on in the background while doing other things but don’t really watch much.

Same, gameday has gone downhill but it is still my go to, habit I guess. I dont watch all of it anymore. I am guessing its cause I don't like change and can't get into the Fox one. I also cant stand Urban Meyer.

The fox one is ok but they got a former player who is trying to be their version of Pat Mcafee and he just annoying. Can’t remember his name. I like the ESPN gameday but I really hate espn.

"Bob & Tom" is the first thing that came to mind when I read the OP.

A friend/co-worker introduced me to B&T, he thought it was the best thing ever. Plenty of funny segments, but the constant laughter was annoying.

Maybe it's no different than Laff-Box for TV, but at least that's canned laughter by "audience" and not people involved in the skit.

Nothing is worse than a comedian who is in town being interviewed by local radio. Even the comedian has to be like not everything I'm saying is as funny as you guys are making it.
