So you think we will be C/W/C on the road again tomorrow? Personally I'd like to see a white helmet appearance outside of the "Ames" helmet.
If they’re using B/R/B, I’d be happy to see C/W/W, or even W/W/W. Nice clean contrasting look.
Do w/w/c, but with the Ames helmet!!
I'd say we've got a chance of the white helmet in any of our next 3 games. Question is, will it be our standard white helmet (which we haven't worn yet this year, and is our best helmet, agreed) or, the Ames helmet?I guess we aren’t going to use our best helmet this year

It wouldn't surprise me if we get the Ames helmet one more time. I don't think we'll do the whole Trice uni, though, just the helmet.
Agree, I was thinking almost the same. The KU game is the logical place for the white Ames helmet, if we do it. And I think it is the reason we haven't seen the "other" white helmet so far. I think it will be the Ames helmet at home vs. KU.We might see re-use of Ames helmet vs. KU ... has a tie-in with Missouri Valley of the 1923 period. As you said, won't be the full Trice uni -- perhaps our white/cardinal/white.
It wouldn't make sense this season for any road games (seems like a "home-game-only" thing), and I'm 94% certain we'll do all-black vs. Texas.
For me, I'm sure part of it is nostalgia, I'm old enough to remember TB and Seattle added as expansion franchises.I always loved those Tampa Bay uniforms.
unfortunately me to. I was in junior high (now middle school)For me, I'm sure part of it is nostalgia, I'm old enough to remember TB and Seattle added as expansion franchises.
Redesign in the '90s was solid, but not as close to identity (seemed like it was SF template with Bucs team colors).
Remember the first year with Seattle/Tampa Bay, when TB was in the AFC and Seattle was actually in the NFC Central? For me, I'm sure part of it is nostalgia, I'm old enough to remember TB and Seattle added as expansion franchises.

I have been a life-long Bronco fan and I got a classic NFL "letter jacket" (late 70s) for Christmas one year (5th grade). It was a Denver one, but I almost asked my mom for a Tampa Bay one instead because I loved TB's uniforms so much.I always loved those Tampa Bay uniforms.
Yes! I remember the AFC/NFC thing with those teams.Remember the first year with Seattle/Tampa Bay, when TB was in the AFC and Seattle was actually in the NFC Central?
Also those unis do carry the 0-16 start legacy of the Bucs, although that doesn’t make them any less cool

That’s right, 0-26! Man, I’d forgotten how bad that start had beenI wonder if there's a bit of "charm" associated with that, "lovable losers with creamsicle uniforms" ... TB was 0-26 before winning final two games of '77 season.
Also below .500 for most of two decades in those uniforms.
And in '76, TB scored 135 points in 14 games. Six games were shutout losses. That’s right, 0-26! Man, I’d forgotten how bad that start had been
