Rueben vs. Patty Melt

In Rome I had a pizza with an egg in the middle. I'm not a huge egg fan but it was good. It doesn't look half as good as it tastes.

I've had fried egg on a burger recently, and while it was good, I just wasn't as enamored with it as some of you guys. I would do it again, but I don't think I'd want it on every burger I ever ate again.

I like the idea of it on a "hangover" burger (as mentioned above), served with a bloody mary.

Did your burger have a pretzel roll bun? Because that brings out the flavor even more. Every burger is automatically better on a pretzel roll bun.

Yeah, want to try that. A new place from a well known Italian chef opened near me...and there's pizzas like in your picture and there's one with an egg on it. Sounds interesting..

Done. No sandwich on Earth is better than a good Philly. How do they make it so good and sell it so cheap?

Good Philly Cheesesteak is just amazing. Interestingly enough, one of the best PC sandwiches I've ever had outside of Philly was in Rochester, Minnesota. I don't know if the owners were from Philly originally, but it was amazing.

So, Broodwich....i want to know what you had for lunch yesterday? Did you have the reuben or the patty melt? Did it meet expectations? Was it everything you wanted? Don't just leave us all hanging.....

I am sold on the Reuben, but I am holding out until I can sample the $50, 6lb exhibit at the Stadium in St. Louis.

There used to be a bar in Lincoln, NE called P.O. Pears that had the "Jiffy Burger", a cheeseburger with chunky peanut butter on it. It sounds horrible, but is actually fabulous. I now put PB on my burgers when I make them at home...

Had the Duane Purvis at the XXX Family Restaurant in West Lafayette on the way to the Derby. I love PB. I love a good burger. Not sure either compliment each other. I thought I just had an extra messy burger. PB didn't do much.

West Towne pub has the Skippy burger. I also thought the idea was horrible but it is better than expected. I also liked their KC slaw burger.

Where is everyone getting their Reuben fix in the DSM area???? I've been on team Reuben for so long but a good Reuben is few and far between it feels. Having to chase the dragon through the countless mediocre Reubens establishments have to offer now has me officially making the switch to team Patty Melt.
