Didn't we basically cut Chavez? Kind of ironic we can't get an out and he's the winning pitcher tonight with an ERA of like 1.60.The pen is gassed. It's over.
Can we get some relief pitchers with good control? Leiter, Palencia, Cuas, Merrywearher, and Wesneski can’t throw strike or wild within strike zone. What an absolute choke job for the 2nd night in a row.
He's 40 years old and spent most of the year on the IL.Didn't we basically cut Chavez? Kind of ironic we can't get an out and he's the winning pitcher tonight with an ERA of like 1.60.
Like who? I have no confidence in our current relief pitchers. He's 40 years old and spent most of the year on the IL.
The pen would've been fine if it could've stayed healthy. The good news is that there's tons and tons of big arms in the pipeline.

A healthy Boxburger and Fulmer would make a world of difference. Veterans matter in a race.Like who? I have no confidence in our current relief pitchers.
Man, how valuable is Alzolay? We really miss Alzolay and Fulmer.A healthy Boxburger and Fulmer would make a world of difference. Veterans matter in a race.
Wow. This is just a garbage take. Hoping a star player gets injured for accomplishing something nobody ever has before is pathetic. Maybe take a break from sports.Hope Stroman puts one in Acuna’s earhole in his first at bat tomorrow. Great achievement for him but stopping the game for that in the middle of a playoff race is a trash ass move
First of all don’t want him injured, but teams have plunked others for far less. I don’t actually mean in his ear hole but hitting him in the ass would be more than fair. Not upset that he accomplished something no one has done before, but disrupting the game for two minutes in extras in a playoff race is a garbage time to do it, and I am surely not alone in that take. JD was saying it on the broadcast, a bunch of people are saying the same thing on Twitter, hell, a buddy that HATES the Cubs texted me last night that it was ridiculous of Acuna to do that in that moment. Celebrate it before tomorrow’s game or at his first bat, whatever that’s fine. But that moment was not the time to do it.Wow. This is just a garbage take. Maybe don't give up a stolen base in that situation then? The celebration was going to happen the second he reached the accomplishment. The Cubs picked a really bad time to let it happen.First of all don’t want him injured, but teams have plunked others for far less. Still needs to be ear holed.Maybe don't give up a stolen base in that situation then? The celebration was going to happen the second he reached the accomplishment. The Cubs picked a really bad time to let it happen.
Were you upset about Sammy's celebration mid-game? Every major record-breaking event is acknowledged in game like this, especially when the player is on the home team. This is just sour grapes. You deserve to be ear holed a lot more than Acuña does.First of all don’t want him injured, but teams have plunked others for far less.
