You keep saying, “lost to a MAC team” and yet Purdy, who is great and is currently doing things in the NFL no QB has done at the start of his career, lost at home to Louisiana (a Sun Belt team). The talent around Rocco is sub par and more than anything, the scheme is heinously awful.

The only knock on Kohl from high school is mentally, he was viewed as a bit of a head case.

If anyone thinks the coaches are going to let Kohl even try to throw the ball downfield when they won’t let Rocco is kidding themselves. They don’t need to play Kohl, they need to let Rocco throw the ball downfield. He showed he can do it. But Rocco lost today, not Kohl. Rocco lost against a MAC team. Kohl has never done that. Let Kohl try and turn this around, just my opinion. Can’t do any worse than Rocco, lol! WTF is wrong with you? I honestly couldn’t watch the game today (turns out thankfully), but sama had -5 yds on 3 carries….. I agree the line sucks but -5 yards.

I slept until 3 pm so I didn't watch either. Glad I didn't wake up early for that.... Sama has great size and speed and I think he can break tackles, but it's hard to tell when he is getting no chance to do so because the o-line is such a disaster.

It’s not a system that works unless you have dominant, NFL ready players. We don’t have Breece to break a zero gain inside run call to the edge for a 75 yard TD. We don’t have Brock to scramble away from a blown blocking assignment to find Kolar breaking off his rout down the seam. Basically we need hero ball and have no hero’s anymore.

Receiving room was better today with Daniel Jackson, Higgins, and Aidan Bitter. They can get open. We should have gone full spread by half time but we don't make adjustments.

I’d be fine if Noel didn’t play another down. He’s awful. No idea what he has over the coaches to make them start him AND make him a captain, but it must be pretty incriminating.

I think he has had a solid start to his career given the circumstances. But yes, open up the offense for him and let him stretch the defense. Don't need to be crazy with it. Just take some shots and make the defense defend the whole field.

I’m not completely sold on Becht as the staring down one target is annoying. If he can fix that and Campbell stops being an idiot with play calling, Becht has a chance to be fairly successful. It’s too hard to tell right now since Campbell is the worst play caller in FBS.

Just like last week Rocco isn't the problem. He made some mistakes which should be expected for a freshman. I'll just go ahead and say it. Our skill position players are terrible.

Norton averages about 2 years per carry so far, Sama might be good but is being forced in there as a true freshman. Who knows if Sanders will every play another down here.

Our receiving core is UNI level. Noel can't catch, Stanley can't figure out where the first down markers are, Higgins shows some promise but is only targeted 3 or times a game. I don't know what happened to guys like Gaines. It seems anytime Campbell has pulled a 4 star they end up 7th string on the depth chart.

Our tight ends might be the best of groups but they won't throw to them enough.

You add all that in to an offensive line who can't even get push against a MAC front and it's a complete disaster.

Jaylin Noel, Easton Dean, Hunter Dekkers, Sean Shaw. The amount of total busts on offense we've had who the coaches hyped to death are never ending. Not to mention every OL player we've ever had with even a drop of buzz

Its probably both. CMC has a terrible mind for offense and Nate shouldn't have been promoted given the position he coached was the 2nd worst on the entire team

I will stand by this statement until I see something to change my mind.... Noel plays scared. He's a very talented guy, but he's not tough enough to play the game of football IMO. He is afraid to get hit and take contact. And you can't be successful at this game playing that way.
