*** Official IOWA STATE vs Ohio Game(Day) Thread ***

It's starting to become a problem. Will get worse if offense can't move the ball.
Yes, if we go 3 and out every series it will make it hard on the defense.

I guess I just don’t understand why anyone would be railing about our defense given we are pitching a shutout at halftime. Seems like the frustration is misplaced.

I mean, if we're going to be a team that plays field position, we can't consistently keep letting them flip the field back on us.

Especially with an inept offense that isn't equipped to go the full length of the field.

Maybe but the defense is far from “bad”. They’ve allowed 9 and 13 points and shutout someone for a half. This is 100% on the offense.

Does being ultra conservative, bend don't break, minimize yards and points matter when the offense can't do ****? Or would we be better served by a more aggressive defense that forces the issue and tries more for big plays and setting up the offense with a short field?
Yeah we have a really good defense but think of how many short fields or points Iowas defense scores. If you're going to have a **** ball control offense you need your defense to create a little more. The defense is still down the list (obviously) on the issues with this team right now

We get the ball to start the second, so I'd be surprised if Campbell gets too ambitious.

But ****, even a FG before half would help.

Jamie needs to figure out how to keep John Heacock and get a different head coach after the season. We are in the 8th year, Campbell can't coach at this level
Who is willing to come to Ames Iowa that would do better than Campbell’s last 5 years? Legitimate question.
