*** Official IOWA STATE vs Ohio Game(Day) Thread ***

The O Line problem is > the play calling problem. You need the O-line to execute to run offense, you could have the best play caller in the world, and it won’t matter if the line gets blown up every play.
Pass blocking has been fine. We just insist on running the ball against stacked fronts with sub-par run blockers.

I would like to see a classic angry CMC explosion. On the refs, on the team, anyone. Feel like it’s been awhile.

Largely because the kicker is terrible.

You can't always wait until halftime to make adjustments and be more aggressive. We've given mighty Ohio all day to throw the ball and it's created problems. When the line isn't able to create with 3 guys you need to bring some additional, well timed packages.

Not only does it make it harder for them to complete throws, it increases the odds that a rushed throw will create a TO.

It wasn't just happenstance we had more TOs against UNI than Iowa. We were infinitely more aggressive and it led to more game altering plays.

You may not like hearing this, but NEED more game altering plays from the defense if we want to win games. We aren't winning **** with this OL and offensive design.
The D and Heacock are not the problem here, quit ******** about them.

Umbrella coverage and pack the middle. Easy AF to defend our offense.

No counters, no draws, no double moves, no rpo, no speed option. This offense is bad.
For years I’ve been frustrated with the complete lack of misdirection in Campbell’s offense. Zero. None. As soon as the play starts you know exactly where the ball is going.
