Interesting Tidbit I found today.
You may have heard on the podcasts that Ohio played Long Island in its 2nd game this year and that Baylor plays them today. Well, I grew up on Long Island and had never heard this team playing anyone of note and for good reason. LIU Brooklyn merged athletics departments with CW Post (college built on the estate of Marjorie Post; Post Cereal/General Foods) in 2019 and with that all sports bumped up to Div 1/FCS. Oh and they changed their name to the much cooler Sharks.
Anyway when I was digging I found this. “The Sharks finished winless in their first season. A month after the season ended, starting quarterback Clay Beathard was stabbed to death in Nashville, Tennessee.”
I had no clue CJs brother was their QB and found that interesting. They have 8 wins in 4 season and take on 0-2 Baylor today. Let’s go Sharks.

Score prediction:
By end of 1st quarter it will be close, perhaps even the Bobcats will be ahead. Ohio will get at least one score off of defense - pick 6, scoop and score, etc. The collective Cyclone nation blood pressure will rise. We will do "okay" on offense but not well enough to satisfy (most of) the fan base.
However, our defense will be solid all game, and the offense will do enough to get the job done. After a few tense moments in the 1st half, by middle of the 3rd quarter it will be in hand.
Ohio gets a score in garbage time to make it look closer than it was, good guys win 27-13.

They did go 10-4 last year; 2 losses to P5 schools (us and Penn State), loss in their conference championship, and an overtime loss in conference on the road.
Line opened on my book ISU -2. I expected that number to go way up. It went to isu -4 but now it’s isu -1.5. What happened?
