The Iowa State Jets

I really don't get why Packers fans would hate Rodgers or the Jets. It's not like this is LeBron-decision-esque where he's leaving in prime of his career. I know he has recent MVP but he's in his 40s, he gave his career to GB.

Maybe if they go head to head a little rivalry for that week is understandable. Seems pretty weird to me. Definitely seems weird to be "cheer about injuries" level of anger.

It's just human psychology. You see it everywhere, sports, work, dating, politics, whathave you. People love to see anyone who has been more successful than them fail. It's easier to tear down the other person than it is to put in the work and build yourself up. People attach themselves to teams like this. If someone leaves their team who was successful, they want to see them crash and burn.

I wish it wasn't this way, but it just seems to get worse.

They won’t do this, but if the Broncos start 2-4, 1-5, they should explore Russ to the Jets. Jets will have that first round draft pick for next year.

The Broncos could take back Rodgers to make the cap work. That would get Russ’ albatross contract off the books for upcoming years

The last time an aging QB retired/left for them it ended up being gold.

I don't know much about Love and can't say he's the new Rodgers/Favre but he certainly had solid #s in first game.

I’m a Packers fan and have always hated Rodgers. The last few years of uncertainty were much like the end with Favre. The arrogance level and never showing up to camp just a pain. But I was and still am rooting for the Jets because of their Cyclones. Watch Rodgers continue the Favre path, fix the Achilles, wind up with Vikings. Then I suppose get involved in some kind of welfare fraud.

First game this year. What concerned everyone was his KC start last year, or maybe that was two years ago. KC had a poor D, maybe the worst in the league, and he could not move the ball on them. Love started slow, but Jones and others got things going and loosened up the defense. Jones did get hurt so we will see what happens if he doesn't have him or Watson this week.

Cheering for injuries is too far, but Packer fans have quite a few legitimate gripes about Rodgers and the last few years. He jerked them around quite a bit, and clearly had one foot out the door last year that cost them a playoff spot.

You don't think he will send dikpiks to a hot reporter woman?

He's obviously supremely arrogant but I figured Packer fans accepted it.

I was really pretty shocked that Breece was still the same gamebreaker. I'd have never thought both Breece and Brock would look fully recovered on week one.

I've asked already but I wonder if you could look up 40+ yards play per touch, so early in career but Breece has to be up there with the best ever for a % of his touches where he breaks something big.

I'll never forget how THE WORLD ENDED because of the Tiger scandal and Favre just kept on selling Wrangler jeans straight through is own stuff. It was basically simultaneous.

It sucks that Rodgers is out. I was really looking forward to watching the Jets this year and now their upside is probably wild card at most. Four plays and it was over. Breece should be happy they signed Cook now. That's a heck of a load to carry without him.

I understand why some people don't like Rogers. He's a strange duck, was often at odds with coaches and ownership, and definitely thinks very highly of himself. That said, it seems like his teammates really like him and he definitely helped out Lazards career which earns him a lot of goodwill in my book

Breece looked sharp. Those first 2 runs were very impressive.
