part of the problem is our offensive design does nothing to put pressure on the defense and requires the QB to be completely precise...something that you can't expect out of a kid starting his second game ever. If you asked Phil Parker the exact offense he'd like to face he would show you ISU tape - it's like we're designed for iowa to stop us

This. The design, the protection schemes, receiver splits, route trees...it's all Mickey Mouse. We don't have the athleticism to throw the the ball short and to the outside. It takes too long and we can't get blocks or beat anyone. We don't have the athleticism on the line to consistently beaf guys and seal off on the inside runs. The route trees are trash. Everything is to the outside and there is little in the way of timing throws on quick hooks, slants, or crosses. There is little misdirection or ingenuity.

This offense will struggle to excel with the way it's implemented. It's hard enough winning with a young team but almost impossible when you are putting them in a position to fail.

I hate watching this offense.

So who are you guys most excited to watch in basketball this season? I know must of you are looking forward to seeing Omaha but I think Tamin Lipsey will take a big jump this season

Tamin is going to be the guy that the anonymous coaches all say they hate going against the most.

I love Iowa State. I bleed cardinal and gold. I have reached Paul Rhoads levels of apathy. If we showed any life on offense whats so ever I would be content, but it’s the same **** over and over again. I’ll cheer for Iowa state every weekend, but until an actual coaching change happens this department won’t see another dollar from me.
