Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

I'm looking forward to the day in the future when the Big 10 starts kicking schools out, but tries to frame themselves as being on the morally superior high ground for doing so.

Would this make Fox less likely to want to move past 14? The Big10 wouldn’t add these for free and then adding these 4 will cost Fox a lot more than the 4 for the Big12. Also, I can’t imagine the Big10 is going to just add a couple more games to Peacock. They’re going to want another big boy time slot. Does that hurt the Big12’s chances at landing that last open time slot Fox has?
Let's say the B1G wants those schools (OR/WA, Stanford/CAL). There'd have to be some serious discounting to take them all since the P12 negotiations clearly say they're not worth 70 mil. And, if they do take them all, regardless of discount, that leaves less cash from Fox for the B12 takes. Thus hurting the B12 'ideal' expansion prospects (OR/WA/AZ). OR, Fox can take the mindset of the B12 'discounting' being a great way to 'rent' OR/WA out before letting the B1G offer them prior to the next round of negotiations. Thus giving the B1G more options under less duress.
If I were BY, I'd take AZ, offer OR/WA, and slow play ASU/UT. The B1G would then be the ones 'spending' and 'steering' the way.

You can bet your ass they are behind the media people running stories about the bad guys of the big 12. This whole thing is such a god damn cluster **** from hell.

Exactly. What do I know, but I just cannot see them taking all 4. 20 members is a huge huge conference, and anything past that would cause too many issues IMO. If they moved to 20 now, they would obviously have to go over 20 to add ND or any ACC schools. I bet they conclude their assessment with a "no" for Big, and they come and grab a couple when the next media window comes into focus.
Yeah, if they came in for full shares that's an additional 240 mil BIG and media partners per year, if its half shares, then they're close to Big12 money. Which is they easier league to get to the playoff? Probably other factors to consider for all entities. Ought to be an interesting month!

Yeah they're trying to frame it as they are saving these schools (but also not giving them an equal share but don't worry about that).

Big 10's gotta love the fact that the media attention is on us for the destruction of the conference. Media ignores the fact that the ACC essentially put the nail in the coffin with the Big East. Also ignores that the Big 10 and SEC nearly destroyed the Big 12 as well. But somehow where the bad ones?

I'm not sure about him but Altimore has lost all touch with reality.

In what way would Apple severely overpaying be "the smartest move so far"? It would be the most positive development possible for PAC shills but, smart?

Wow. Apple didn't get that huge pile of money by vastly overpaying for things.

Apple should start lowering their offer each day in a reverse-auction format until somebody finally flinches.
