Yes. I think people misunderstood the early transition from big packages like DirecTV had to what streaming was always destined to be and are finally getting doses of reality. It was never going to be the same content completely a-la-carte or at a fraction of the price. It was only cheap to get the ball moving, but it’ll be big cable before long.I don't know about most people but my household is kind of getting "streamers fatigue" with the amount that we currently subscribe to and how many are out there.
I don't see us ever ditching Prime, we like YTTV, Disney for kids, but all the others are close to the chopping block for us.
Our subs:
-Hulu’s top package, including science and sports add-ons, extra screens, etc
-Discovery+
-Disney+
-Netflix Premium
-Prime
-History Vault
-Paramount+
-Peacock
-AppleTV+
Now, we could certainly consolidate, but our $285 DirecTV bill that we canceled 5 years ago and replaced with all streaming has largely just been replaced with smaller bills adding up to the same amount. There is certainly the flexibility for people to pay less than they used to since they don’t have to subscribe to so many things, but you’ll also continue to see consolidation in services that become bigger, costlier packages.
