Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

It doesn't sound good for the PAC. No agreement. Expected to get a deal "eventually".

No bueno.
Yep if the deal was as good as the B12's they would have approved and closed. The schools are taking the numbers and seeing what the likely/actual numbers are and then decide if they will stay. The next meeting will be about finalizing the deal and backfilling for CO and IMO AZ. Then the pressure is on 2 more to decide.

Somehow the addition of Rutgers allowed Fox Sports to demand the BTN to be put on Tier 1 subscriptions in the NYC market - and because Fox Sports also owned YES, they could tie the two together in a package, where if New Yorkers wanted to watch Yankee games they would also have to pay for BTN. Why they needed Rutgers in the conference to force that demand I’ll never understand - especially when Rutgers doesn’t give them the NYC market like they think it does.

Yeah. I'm guessing they really didn't need Rutgers. Plenty of Big 10 fans in NYC.

What has happened today that makes you feel that way?

Literally all we got was the PAC saying that they have no deal yet...

What I pulled from that “X”:

1. The PAC X doesn’t have a media deal yet.

2. The numbers being proposed aren’t anywhere close to the Big 12 numbers like GK promised, forget about exceeding it.

The question is “does a deal involving escalations to $20 mil via streaming platforms satisfy the presidents? Odds are probably not.

I don't think anyone expected a deal to be approved today. If the reporting sounded more positive, something like "The members left the meeting feeling positive that a deal would be reached soon and another meeting is being scheduled" I would take that as a sign no more teams are leaving.

But that's not what is being reported by anyone yet...

Where are people getting the Arizona to the Big 12 isn't happening?
Especially when Arizona’s head coach is saying that they wouldn’t be responsible for killing the PAC 12 if they lost and told the parents of every player that Arizona wouldn’t take a bad deal and would know where they will be soon. (All of that according to Scheer). They may not move, but that doesn’t sound like Arizona to the Big 12 is dead

BY is going to be very upset if they kick the can!

No to UCONN no matter what.

Stay at 13, play 10 conference games, until the ACC blows up.

The BIG can finish off the PAC for us when they decide what they want to do.
