Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

When the inevitable happens and there are three mega conferences with 24+ teams in them, it's going to end up being like that imo. You're going to have semi-regional mini conferences within the huge conferences almost like NFL divisions.
exactly it's going to end up something like that anyway. feels like we'll look back in 20 yrs and be like wow that was really dumb remember when teams all over country were in same conference.

all the big schools were making PLENTY of $.

only reason they all started moving around is cause they saw someone else making more $.

like USC and UCLA are actually struggling? give me a freaking break.

the rich get richer.

"sources say Arizona, Arizona State and Utah -- the Pac-12's remaining three of the so-called Four Corner schools -- are expected to lump their futures together.

As another industry source pointed out: "I don't see any of them having the fortitude to break up the Pac-12 themselves. They'll break as three. It's either going to be all three leave, or none leave."

Will they stay? Will they go?

It all depends on what Kliavkoff presents on Tuesday as he looks to convince them there's a deal with enough money and exposure to stay together."

I think Arizona flat out told them "we're leaving in a few days" or they came to realize that truth in some other way.

Utah, and to a lesser extent ASU are now coping with the realities of what that means and asking if the truck stop B12 horror they created is real or fantasy. hint: it's a fantasy

Not sure I'd include Clemson in this conversation. Clemson's "Press Box" runs the entire length of the field and includes seating on top. From what I can tell, it has an identical setup on the other side too.
LOL so just like Jack Trice huh.

I think what people are missing when they talk about a deal with Apple is that the MLS deal they have is a separate package to normal AppleTV+. That deal ALSO had an escalator provision based on the number of subscription to the MLS Season Pass, which they only recently passed thanks to Messi.

My guess would be it's the exact same deal for the Pac12. Set fee up front, and then if a certain number of subscribers to that package hits, it turns to revenue share % which could escalate it more. (MLS is $250m base with potential of ~$300m).
