Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

If Florida State and Clemson have reservations about getting out of the GOR, there's no way in hell Louisville is.
For sure. In my mind it would be nice to get another school in that region at some point. That looks to be way down the road though.

Don't really like the idea of UCONN coming at all....my guess is Oregon/Washington told the Big12 they're waiting on the Big10 or that they'd join but not afraid to jump ship next round of negotiations....otherwise why in the hell would you not go to 16 if you could get those 2?

Just ehhh kind of takes the wind out of the sails a bit.

Stop thinking to far into it....if Arizona is added and Oregon/Wash said yes it would be 16 without hesitation. This is a tactical thing to put pressure on AZ by saying there's only room for one.

Does Oregon/Washington have enough other revenue streams beyond a bad TV deal that it might be worth staying just because they know it'll be an easier path to the playoff? Otherwise my guess is they're waiting on the Big10.

AZ has to know that.

I think we as fans know very little compared to the schools and what has been said.

Yeah, if all this ends up being is Colorado and UConn, i find this rather disappointing.

If ESPN/Fox still have a want to keep part of the Pac12 together in the short term to make it cheaper, then no.

Cheaper for who? They haven’t been involved with PAC negotiations per most reports. OuW playing the sisters of the poor won’t really love the needle for TV.

Other than the realization the Big12 is stable right now...suppose that's the best takeaway from all of this.

And Wilner/Clownzanos whole “access to the playoff argument is just silly now that it’s going to 12. Everyone just got better access to the playoff by default.

Y'all are reading that leak WAY too literally.

This is just putting Arizona on the clock. Washington and Oregon are in if they want to be in.
Yeah the Big 12 would be idiots not to take Washington & Oregon if they want in. However, I don't think those 2 will want in. Would love to be wrong about that though.

But AZ doesn't have the leverage in this like Oregon/Wash. This is the deal..they dont take it their spot is gone to someone else...they don't get the luxury of Oregon/Wash having luxury of coming in later.

The fact Chris went public with this rather than to his Patrons first tells me the Big 12 wants pro Big 12 media to say this to put pressure on Arizona to accept and they aren’t waiting around. The next 72 hours will be very interesting.

This…but it also feels a bit ham-fisted, a strategy left for the PAC, not becoming of someone who has the upper hand.
