Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

What was the original tweet? (or X whatever it is called now)
He really just reworded to say “if” (hedging if it something in that 2.0% occurs and it doesn’t come to fruition I guess) whereas the original tweet said Colorado was the only planned addition to the Big 12 at this time.

Sure, I completely get that. I’m getting a lot of schadenfreude from those fans too. I just don’t think they’re the majority by any means.

I’d also just say as an Iowa State and Wisconsin fan (so someone that has been on the outside on CF), we have some ******** who talk a lot ****. And I wouldn’t enjoy fans of other teams dunking on us because we had a few ******** that liked to talk ****

We definitely have our share of d bag fans but the Pac 12-10-9 conference has tried to end us 3 times and no one (media, fans, etc) had an ounce of empathy for us, Kansas and Kansas State. In fact most seemed to actively rooting for it and took joy in our possible demise.

I'm not a fan of CU coming back they are the ones that started this **** when they left the Big 8 and they maybe the ones that bring down the Pac12. People talk about Texas being a toxic member but CU is just as bad. They can go **** themselves.
That’s right! All this realignment is CUs fault! 100% of the blame for sure! Certainly no other conference had anything to do with the current landscape…

To add to this, GK’s arrogance and bluster leading up to all this is what makes it delicious

AZ will 100% be applying for membership. CO moving will certainly tip them over the edge. Now, how many Big 12 spots are actually available?
I would guess anywhere from 14-18 are available. Personally think the smart move is 18 and wait for the SEC/B1G to poach the ACC to find 19 and 20.

Big 8 was dead for 10+ years before they moved to the Pac-12.

I do regulatory management for a living, so I know a thing or two about writing things that allow you to do a lot within the given framework.

The meeting could be 100% exactly what they are saying, but I could easily spin that to encompass wanting to apply to the Big 12.
