F1 2023 Discussion

That McLaren was a shitbox and I think they messed with him mentally as well. I didn’t think we’d see Daniel this year let alone in the worst car on the grid(I say this as a haas fan). If he can beat Yuki, I think he’ll be in the Red Bull seat next year.

Can't imagine what it would be like to go from Red Bull to Last years Mclaren. That would have been horrible.

I think Perez is already gone at the end of the season. They’re seeing what they have with Danny Ric and Yuki head to head to see if either stands out. According to Helmut, deVries was consistently three tenths slower than Yuki and hasn’t gained any ground this season. It’ll be the same test for Yuki and Danny Ric.

Then they’ll see where Palou fits in the whole equation.
I also wonder where Colton Herta falls into this conversation. I would have had that seat if it weren't for the super license points hit you take for going the Indycar path he'd be in either the Alpha Romeo or Alfa Tauri car right now.

You won’t see him I don’t think. The gap between Indy car and F1 is immense.

Listen, I like the Honey Badger a lot, but he went from Red Bull, at the top of his game and them on the re-upswing, to Renault. Started to do well there, then went to McLaren out of the blue and picked up the nickname, Money Badger. He did it to himself.

I don't fault him for the Red Bull > Renault move, but the McLaren move was a leap.

It'll be an interesting story, not sure getting into the worst car midseason is going to go well for anyone. If he does anything this season I'd consider it a huge success.

I don't know about the gap being that big. Allegedly Herta was putting down faster lap times than Kimi or Giovinazzi when he got a chance to test the Alfa Romeo at Portimao a couple years ago. None of that matters though if he doesn't finish at least 4th this year in Indycar and that Andretti package this year isn't getting that done.

Just to be honest. I’m super pumped up for the neat race just to see how Danny does. I mean I love the races, qualifying and all that. I just want to see if Danny returns to his old Red Bull form.

May be wrong but don't think CF allows Instagram to be embeded on here.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mclhenney buying part of Alpine should be fun. They will make a documentary/ reality type show
Similar to welcome to Wrexham that will be really good. Welcome to Wrexham is a great show
