Nolan's Oppenheimer

Just had my sister watch about an hour of history about the Manhattan project and Oppenheimer because she got no WW2 education in school.

Nolan's films tend to hit MUCH harder the second time around.

I admit I was lukewarm on Inception and Dunkirk and The Prestige and Interstellar the first time.

They ran me over like a ******* freight train the second viewing. All-timers for me.
I loved Prestige and Interstellar. Need to see Dunkirk.

You can skip Dunkirk, IMO his weakest movie. It makes the fatal sin of just not being very interesting. Tom Hardy does a great job as usual though.
Actually I did see that. I was thinking of the one where you follow the guy running through the war. 1912 maybe?

For me Dunkirk was just fine. I didn’t mind the time jumping but I just felt like the narrative really dragged at times.

I see nobody has really mentioned Tenet which I found to be kind of enjoyable but wouldn’t say it’s a good movie.

Interstellar was a better meme generator than movie. Come at me bros.

I haven't seen any of these movies!

My favorite movie is The Prestige because of how hard it hit the first time. I caught more details the second time but watching the ending the first time was so good. Hard to replicate during a re-watch.

Agreed. Dunkirk is beautifully shot, but there is no reason to care about any of the characters and hard to understand what is even happening. If you don’t know the story of Dunkirk, you still won’t know much after seeing Dunkirk the movie. It’s not a good movie.
